I was lost,
Watching at the gleam sun cast on water
As the shadows deepened,
I almost realized
Is it already night?
I was reading a book,
Loving every page of it
And every word took me to a new world,
Of Angels and Demons
And Witches and Muggles,
A point then clicked
Is it already the last page I flipped?
I boarded the Metro,
Sitting idle
Watching people come and go,
At every station
With the same familiar noises,
Same gung ho
A female voice gave an explanation,
Is it already the last station?
I was sleeping tight,
With all nightly noises doing their rounds
The cricket, Far away music from a marriage, or an occasional cab,
From under the cosy blanket
I looked at the window,
Chuckling loud, a bird had flown
And I thought...
Is it already dawn?
There is so much more,
To think and pour
All that is fine,
But, it is already time. Isn't it?
Yes, time it is!
