I had gone to my mamji's place for a few days during my summer vacations. I was in class 2. As I was about sleep, mamiji came to me and asked me if I had seen a Globe. I hadn't. She said that she would gift it to me on my birthday. And I wondered before falling sleep that night, how good a thing it would turn out to be. I was already letting my horses go wild on her description of the globe...It is the size of a football [so we can play with it right?]..yes..you can enjoy it..it has all the countries of the world on it [arre...how is that possible?]..and all that. I had a round ball in a square box waiting for me on my birthday. I opened it..and found that the round thing was clipped to some sort of a metal at an angle. I felt bad about it, nevertheless, I decided to take a close look at it. That turned out to be the fuel to stroke my fire. Those were my very first steps towards liking my geography in the coming years at school. I liked to compare country sizes, ocean sizes, ...
