WHAT YOU SEE...

What you see... Is a sea... Springing in my mind... Like fountains of time... Time and again... Ephemeral lane... Myriad colors... Eternal horrors... Reticent I... Half waved bye... I am I said... I am I cried... Asking to see... from no one but thee...

CHANGE...

change is constant. change in thought, change in process. change in life, change is to redress. But who is it? I always think...who never lets change, ever change... whom change can't change... who is omni present who is omni potent... who keeps change constantly constant...
you can call it slumber..i call it..deep thought...

CONFESSIONS OF A CONFUSED AGNOSTIC

I am a Hindu. This sounds really weird when the title has the word”agnostic” in it, doesn’t it? So, being an agnostic doesn’t mean that I am a Hindu? And even before judging what my religion is, let us first see what makes a person a Hindu or a Muslim or anybody else at the first place. Is it his birth? If I were born in a Muslim family, I would surely have been a Muslim. Is it that simple then? No, I don’t think so. So, does it come from practice? If I go to the Hanuman temple nearby every Tuesday, will that make me a Hindu or if my grandmother prays daily for an hour at home, does that make her a Hindu? Or being of a particular religion comes from the fact that how eagerly do you follow the norms of the religion? Or is it that how much you admire the God you follow or love Him? Or, is there any other criterion that I am missing? To me, it is all abstruse. Well, if the points stated above don’t form the criteria to decide one’s religion, if not followed to some extent, they surely tel...

WAS, WERE - IS, ARE

The sun shone bright, And the breeze blew light, Chrysanthemums were in full blossom, And the weather was just awesome. The cows were grazing, Over the grass, moist due to yester’s drizzling, Young kids played, And the cherry plants swayed. A day – so perfect it was, And the kids – so happy they were. Seagulls cried at the nearby shore, But their din was eclipsed, when the skies silently roared, The black eagles flew above, So how could someone sight a dove? The power was unleashed – without any sound, The cows were slain, as if devoured by a hound, It was just a tiny atom, Cinders were all that were left of a beautiful chrysanthemum. There was nothing left after the quiet storm, Nippon was burning in a big cauldron, Their skins peeled and throats dried, And it was the last time, the dying seagull cried, It was a fine day, and people were merry, So what was the cause of all their woes and worry? An atom, a tiny-miny atom. The laughter that was, and is never to be again, A couple of bom...

AN ACHIEVEMENT, THE ACHIEVEMENT

Thousands were involved, millions were to view, The world had come to a standstill, A giant monster stood there – waiting to be launched. And it roared upwards, Releasing gallons of gases – defying gravity, Everyone was dazed and extremely happy, Another ship went there – to fill the vacuum, Millions cheered, thousands hugged, After all, it was an achievement… Deep inside the earth, Clasped in darkness, Burdened by the soil, It lay there, ready to burst, With an unfathomable force, It rose and rose…for days… Till it conquered and surfaced on the earth, A seedling had won the battle against all odds… No one even clapped, no one even bothered, In spite of the achievement…

THE FIRE

The bon fire was lit, in a chilly night, The month of cold was at its greatest height, But the wood burnt, and burnt, To provide the campers much needed warmth, The golden flames were a solace to the eyes, The flames were huge as they danced, From the nearby tree, a squirrel glanced. Soon the party was over, And thick sand was dumped, But red, still the embers burnt, All was still, in the dark of night, And from somewhere, somehow, A wind blew, a wind of memories from the past, And the golden flame revived…
